Peer Writing Groups

Working on a major writing project, such as a master’s thesis, doctoral dissertation, journal article or research report? Consider joining a peer writing group for accountability, dedicated time to write, support and/or feedback. 

Information sessions will be held Sept 10-12. See below to see the specific times and register for a session. You may attend in person or via Teams. 

If you’re interested in joining a peer writing group, you must first attend an information session. During the information session, you’ll learn about what writing groups are, how they can help you meet your writing goals and what commitments writing groups require. 

All graduate students and postdocs are eligible to join a peer writing group after attending an information session. 

To register for an information session, select the date and time of the session you’d like to attend: 

Important Dates: 

  • Attend a Peer Writing Group Information Session Sept. 10-12. 
  • Submit your completed writing group application by Friday, Sept 13. 
  • You’ll receive your group information by Friday, Sept. 20. 
  • Groups will start the week of Monday, Sept. 30. 
  • Groups will end the week of Monday, Dec. 2.
