I help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars find and apply for external funding, whether fellowships or research grants.
For a general introduction to fellowships or grants, check out the workshop schedule.
When you are ready to apply, consider a one-on-one consultation early in your planning and then we can create a timeline that works best for you.
If you are not interested in applying for a fellowship but want to learn how to write grants, the grant writing certificate program may be for you. It is free to all current UT Dallas graduate students and postdoc scholars and can be done at your own pace.
Workshops
Check our events page for a current list of workshops and how to register. You can also view recordings of some workshops; a UTD NetID and password are required to access them.
Grant Writing Certificate Program
This certificate series is designed for graduate students and postdocs who want to understand all phases of the grant writing process to achieve their career goals, including the composition and practical application of their own grant proposal.
To receive the certificate, participants must complete several sessions on funding, attend a minimum number of workshops, and draft a grant application. Successful completion of the certificate program may take more than one semester.
For more information, please watch Grant Certificate Overview
Complete the program application (pdf) and return to Beth Keithly.
Students who are interested in the workshops but not the certificate program can email Beth Keithly to request access to the eLearning site.
